The History of Laptop Computers

Laptop computers first appeared on the market about three decades ago. They quickly became a leader in the personal technology field, taking over the personal computer market. The first laptops were not something that could be handled well by a person who did not have much technical knowledge. In turn, this allowed for people to buy these products more easily and at a lower cost. As time went on, the idea of having a laptop became a common household item.

Today, laptops are made as small as possible to fit the palm of your hand. They have wireless internet connections built into them so that they can be used wirelessly. Laptops have also become extremely interactive, because the programs that people download to them have been designed for touch screen operation. This allows for users to type on a touch screen keyboard and then point the mouse at the picture that they want to draw, or the document that they are working on in Microsoft Word.

Today’s laptops have almost completely taken over the function of a traditional desktop computer. They are able to function like a desktop computer because they have the same monitor size and the same sized keyboard. They are also often larger than a standard desktop computer because of their touch-screen keyboards and other features that allow them to function as if they were a desktop computer.

The history of laptop computers has come a long way over the years. They are a necessity for business people that travel on a regular basis. People that work from home need to have a computer with them because they need to be able to access their email and work online. Children who play games on the computer also need to have one because their imagination is not as developed as that of an adult.
